Ibuilders Corp. is a construction firm that offers diverse Carpentry and Taping services. Our range of experience involves residential, multi-family housing, senior living facilities, commercial, retail and private projects.
Ibuilders was founded in 2013 by owner and President Marco Romero. We are a family owned and operated minority Carpentry & Taping firm based in the Southside of Chicago. The company started in the residential market and has since expanded to include commercial projects for various government and private clients. We have done work for clients such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Cook County Government, the Chicago Housing Authority and Target Corporation among others.
The vision of our founder, Marco Romero, is to make Corporate social responsibility a core value that governs our work ethic; It is our goal to enhance the economic engines of our local communities by providing employment and education opportunities to underprivileged residents. In today’s corporate America, it is the right thing to do without having to compromise quality and/or raise costs. Our employees in the office and in the field, embody our corporate vision and work culture. At Ibuilders it is integral to have employees who are proud to work for us, they create value, loyalty and in turn they are our most valuable assets.

Ibuilders is a member of the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA), where Marco is a board member. Ibuilders is signatory to the Carpenters and Painters union.
MDE & DBE Certification
Ibuilders is a family owned Hispanic construction firm with MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) and DBE Certifications (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise). Most of our projects have involved the use of our certifications and we are proud to have managed and performed these projects successfully.
Safety
Safety is a cornerstone at Ibuilders. The goal of our rigorous Safety Program is to keep our most valuable assets safe: our employees. New employees go through New-Hire Safety Orientation; Daily Safety Checklist, weekly Jobsite Safety Inspections and Toolbox Talks.
Community
Ibuilders is a Section 3 Business Concern. Giving back to the community is one of our deeply rooted values; we are committed to bringing education and employment opportunities to the underprivileged communities in which we serve. Ibuilders would not be here if our founder had not been given an opportunity by a member of the community to join the carpentry trade and start his career in the industry.
FEATURED CASE STUDY: Homan Square

SCOPE:
8 buildings, 57 units, bearing/nonbearing wood panels, roof trusses, plywood sheathing, kitchen cabinets & millwork, exterior & interior frames, doors and hardware.
CHALLENGES:
The schedule was very aggressive given that we needed to frame eight buildings within three months; requiring the framing of two buildings at the same time.
SOLUTION:
Organization and good planning were imperative in executing the logistics plan and making it a success. Our journeyman in the field have the experience to tackle a project that requires an aggressive schedule, while delivering a high-quality product to our client. The project was turned over to the owner weeks ahead of schedule.
